Our Annual Award Lunch

What a busy year we have had, it was nice to celebrate it in style with around 43 members and guests.

A huge thank you goes to Linda Pike for arranging everything,

from seating plans to who's having what.

Our year started in April with us entering the NW Federation League for the first time, with our Team of - Nick, Linda T, Alan, Beth Linda P, Roger and Jean. We Finished joint 5th out of 8 competing teams in the Southern Division. We had two Successful Round Robin competitions and two Rounds of the Border Trophy - glad to say we won it back again after losing it earlier in the year for the first time.

Our Snowdonia Cup competition for both Golf and Association was fiercely competed for, but congratulations must go to Chester this year's Winners.

- In June for the summer solstice we had a really lovely Mid Summer Evening Event with Llanfairfechan, something everyone agreed we must repeat next year.

- Also in June we entered 2 teams in the Southport Festival of Croquet, with commendable results.

- June was also the month we held the Dukes Trophy competition.

- July bought with it our first foray into the Welsh Inter Club Championships (Northern Heats) with two teams The Goats and The Butterfly's , and by a whisker the Goats won our heat and went on to compete in Llanidloes for the finals - coming second

- September brought with it our own club competitions the Presidents Cup (Short Lawn) and the Chairman's Cup (Long Lawn)

- And to round off the season a new fun day competition was introduced

Also Awarded today - Roy presents John with a Diploma from the Croquet Association for services to Croquet - John has worked tirelessly for many years including 8 as our former Chairman.
