What a busy year we have had, it was nice to celebrate it in style with around 36 members and guests.
A huge thank you goes to Linda Pike for arranging everything,
from seating plans to who's having what.
Our year started in April with the Dukes Trophy on 1st May, with Roger Edwards our winner of the day, with Jean Roberts winning the plate prize.
This was followed on the calendar with the start of the NW Federation League - I am pleased to inform you that our team finished in second place in the Southern league - with LLanfairfechan Pioneers the winners of our league - Crake Valley won the Northern League - making them both joint winners.

The Snowdonia Cup popped up next on the calendar - with the overall winners being Chester
And again Thank you to Linda Pike for providing us again with two
Round Robins on the 26th June and 21st of August
And again we had two Border Trophy's this year, 18th July and 5th September
Congratulations to Tattenhall winning both days -Just wait till next year!
This year, we again entered the Welsh Team Croquet Championships

Congratulations go to LLanfairfechan this years overall winners.
Throughout the season matches were played in the Presidents and Chairman's Cups
The winner of both, was someone who's has definitely been on form this year John Hannah
Our playing season was rounded off with the Captains Day - just for fun competition
Congrats go to a doubles pairing of Linda Taylor and Linda Seiler, with the plate winners Alison Ellison and Betty Haley.
Our Club Player of the year 2024 is David Burke - although David was not able to attend today
his shiny new Trophy awaits in a safe place.

Other awards given at this years luncheon - Congratulations to Linda Pike who received a Croquet Association Diploma for services to Croquet - one of the founders of our club. who continuously works for the club, not only arranging our Round Robins, but makes sure everything works smoothly behind the scenes, be it tea and cake to U3a, table top sales to our now new Treasurer -
